I clearly remember how Elisa’s eyes sparkled while I talked to her about my photography.
The wonder she expressed during that short meeting in my studio made me realize that we were going to perfectly understand each other.
When the wedding day came I was tensed in a good way, because I knew Elisa and Andrea were expecting my best.
Shooting weddings is beautiful and fascinating, it’s true, but I can assure you that the endless strive to always be a little bit better then the last time isn’t easy to handle. There’s always going to be the one day when you’re tired or your mind is heavy with other thoughts, or the weather is too hot and you struggle to keep yourself on your feet.
The tension immediately fades when I arrive at Elisa’s house, where I’m welcomed by a sense of peace.
Her father is in front of the tv, coffe is being made, Elisa is in her bedroom giving the final touches to her make up.
I feel like I’m home.
Time passes gently, silently. There’s no need to say anything or to worry, because this day is made entirely for us. Even if it looks like it might rain, we’re happy.
It’s our day.
Where here for this.
Nothing bad can happen.
